High-Speed Doors
The longer a door remains open, the more time temperature-controlled air has to seep out of your building. This will impact the internal conditions and cause the heating or cooling systems to consume excess energy in order to counteract the changes and return the space to its original temperature.
As our name suggests, we know all about fast-action doors, and the hidden sustainability benefits that come with their fast operating speeds. Our doors have standard opening speeds of 1000mm per second and variable closing speeds of 800mm per second, and higher speeds of up to 1.5 or even 2 metres per second are available as special orders. This fast-action means that each door is only open for the necessary amount of time before it quickly closes and stops excess heat from escaping through the opening.
Internal Insulation
It’s not just the opening speeds that matter; it’s also the materials used in the construction of the doors.
The best sustainable industrial doors in our range offer superior insulation and tight seals to prevent gradual heat bleed. Our Insulated Dual Door 1000 alone has an insulation value of 4.8W/m2K, whilst our ICE Freezer Door has an integral heating system and a twin-skin 900g/m2 fabric curtain set 230mm apart. This unique design is perfect for all cold, chilled, or frozen storage units as it not only prevents temperature fluctuations but also reduces the demands placed on industrial heating systems.
Our Zip Speed, Clean Room High Speed and Turbo Fold High Speed doors have also all been wind load tested to Category 5 and our other doors offer Category 3 protection so you can draught-seal your premises with the assurance that they will maintain the required temperature at all times.

Whilst most curtain-based systems are susceptible to dislodging, our Zip Speed, Turbo Roll, and Clean Room High Speed doors come complete with innovative self-repair systems. This special reinsertion system is installed at a high level within the doorset and is activated if the curtain is ever dislodged. If this happens then the door will automatically recover its position within just one opening and closing cycle before the heat loss has a chance to impact your operations.
